Tea Houses you would recommend?

I've been trying to find tea houses via web searches and most place don't have reviews. What's your favorite place to have tea? I'm looking for a place with good variety in teas and moderate meals (not light eating) under $20. The style of the tea house (Asian, British, whatever) doesn't matter but a little note on the ambiance would be nice. I'd rather go to the frilly establishments with my friends, not my boyfriend. Locations in the Westside and Hollywood are preferred but I don't mind hopping on the bus every so often. Thanks in advance :)

Writer's Block: Six-Word Story

Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” He is believed to have called it his greatest literary work ever. Can you write a story in six words?

I am a vagina. Nothing more.

LOL that was actually the first thing that came to mind and it is exactly six words.

I want to move in with him.

Of course I am hesitant to do so while I can't stand on my own two feet. Until I am financially stable I wont want to move in with anyone so it probably wont happen...If it were possible I'd go for it.

I've started talking about the future...it still scares me. Not too long ago I told him I wanted to come home to him every night. He was taken by surprise and kind of poked fun at me for being so noncommittal. I can't help it, the feeling continues to persist.

My family went out of town last Wednesday and returned on Monday. Remy stayed with me at my mom's house. For a short time my house felt more like a home and less like some space I spend my time in. We watched movies, went grocery shopping together, made a ruckus while in the throws of passion...and *gasp* drank together. It was nice to pretend...and made me realize that I can put myself there again. Imagine not being able to close your eyes because you couldn't wait to see that same person in the morning. I wish I could make it a reality. Just not until I can do my part.

My hair is almost down to my butt right now but it's starting to get uncomfortable. As in really hurting my scalp when I put it up at work type uncomfortable I want to keep the length while still be creative with my hair....I want a modified mohawk. I'll be keeping the middle as long as it is now with the sides shaved. Only one problem, I don't have a reference photo to take to the hair stylist. Sounds simple enough but we've all had or heard of a hair stylists that decided to force their own "vision" on your hair.

Hey everyone..I've been very busy and I am doing a friends cut. This is not a "post if you want to be included" type deal. If I skip over your journal all the time then you've been cut. It's only a few people but I want to be able to keep up with you so I have to organize.

I've got a buddy whose name is Lori. We don't speak much and can't hang out nearly enough but that doesn't change the fact that she is very dear to me. Anyways, she's in a band called Spaz March with her pimp juice brother. They are way fun and even funner people. For as long as I have known Lori she has been in love with the band Mindless Self Indulgence. Spaz March is in a contest where they could win a chance (after a battle of the bands) to open for not only Mindless Self Indulgence but Linkin Park, Chemical Romance, and Placebo to name a few. If you love me please vote at least twice. If you love Lori too please vote at least fifteen times.

I'll walk youu through it because I thought I had voted several times without actually voting.

You want to start here: http://www.mtv2ontherise.com/contest/la/
Click "Cast your vote"
There is a Quick Search box at the top left. Type in Spaz March
Click the left box next to Spaz March then select "View selected"
There you can cast your vote. You need to type in a verification code first. It may take time to load..

Vote as many times as you wish and thank you!

reductio ad Hitlerum

There is something I refer to as the "Hitler defense" but there is an actual word for it. The theory goes that in any argument presenting a likeness to Hitler such as "Art is bad, Hitler painted." always wins an argument. Because who could defend the values of a man like Hitler? What the heck is that word or phrase? I can never remember it.

Never mind, I found it.

I really have to go to class but I wanted to save this to read later. Under a United States Supreme Court ruling, undercover surveillance of political groups is generally legal It goes on about how the NYPD have been posing as activists are collecting information on members and their activities...including members that do not show any behavior that would make them a threat of any kind. See you at the next parade.

Every once in a while I get the itch to draw people. My problem is I only have myself as a model. I'm tired of all my sketches having the same body type.

If you or your friends have any photos or are planning to take photos of yourself/their self I'm interested in them. I'm looking for photos were the person is posing nude, in their underwear, or wearing tight clothing. You don't have to expose yourself, I don't even want to draw anyone spread eagle. Tasteful, artsy, and cheesecake is preferred. I like my sketches to be fun so I prefer unusual poses or poses were there are lots of curves, i.e. someone in fetal positions, bending over backwards, twisted around. You can hide your face, play up one feature of the body. My favorites are the back, breasts, and legs. I don't know how to draw the male body at all so those would be great too.

I don't care whate age, shape, or size you are. Yes, I could take a course in life drawing but 1. my style is not that of still life drawings and 2. college art classes require a certain level of talent to pass, a level of talent I haven't reached yet. Be advised that giving me a photo doesn't mean I will be exchanging artwork with you. This will be just be a collection of reference photos. I've always wanted to collect photos of poses, hands, facial expressions, etc. for a personal reference book. Oh, if you want to send me photos of facial expressions I would be ecstatic! In case my reference book ever becomes a series things I will organize my photos in a way that I have your contact info. If having your face published worries you then don't. It's a small chance that I'll do it but you never know...

I think that's it. You can send me photos now or at any time...Though if you send me photos in the far future let me know why. Or else I'll just think you're hitting on me.

Thanks everyone!

I went to sleep at 5pm last night...woke up at 11pm....Been up ever since. I spent the early morn talking with Cory. Good times.

Look of the day includes:
My hair in two buns (it's gonna be hot!), jade bracelet of happiness, other green bangles of happiness, eeyore shirt, polkadot skirt floofed with a petticoat, big stompin' boots!, and my tom cat tail.

Stompin' boots are epic.

My tail is lookin' pretty shabby. Anyone know where I can get a new tail? I'm not lookking for something specific...except I know I don't want it all floofy like a fox tail. Maybe something more cat-like. Come on furries! Please help me. *jiggly eyes of tears*

Is it bad that I imagine everything via chibi?

Oh yeah, I went to an anime meetup.com event on Sat. It was so much fun1 I loves my anime...why did I deny you for so long?

I gotta go stomp off to the ATM now! Have a great day everyone!
